National Park Service is seeking a Seasonal Rigging Worker for the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. The role involves working on a square-rigged vessel, going aloft, rigging and handling sails, and performing maintenance of running and standing rigging.

Expect heavy physical work, climbing, and operating power equipment as needed. Must meet federal wage requirements; no education substitution.

Qualifications

• No substitution of education for experience for Federal Wage System (FWS) positions.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding work including lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Seasonal entry-on-duty period with variability due to weather, project needs, or funding.

Responsabilités

• Work on an operating traditionally rigged, square-rigged sailing vessel.
• Going Aloft, rigging and handling sails.
• Striking yards and topmasts to deck and sending them aloft; operating the capstan.
