Job summary

The Paper Store in Pompton Lakes, NJ is seeking a seasonal Sales Associate to deliver world-class service and assist customers in a fast-paced retail environment. You will greet customers, understand their needs, explain product features, and suggest complementary items to meet sales goals.

Responsibilities include handling POS transactions, stocking, merchandising, and maintaining store cleanliness. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in specialty retail is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to multitask while staying attentive to customers and flexible to business needs.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as a TPS Champion by modeling the G.U.E.S.T. service approach and delivering World Class Service.
• Greet and welcome every customer warmly and with enthusiasm.
• Understand customer needs by asking open-ended questions.
• Explain product features and benefits in relation to customers’ needs with in-depth product knowledge.
• Suggest additional items to build onto sales using effective selling techniques.
• Thank the customer and invite them to return and shop with us again.
• Maintain store standards and comply with company policies.
