Seasonal Retail Sales Crew Member (Ocracoke, NC)

Join us today! We are hiring seasonal crew members for our Ocracoke, NC Store.

Retail Crew Members are front-line employees who deliver a "wow" factor for our retail customers. An excellent Retail Crew Member will have excellent customer service skills, an eye for detail to keep the retail environment clean and shoppable, and will be an ambassador for the brand. In this role, you will have fun while working at the beach.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure an enthusiastic and professional level of customer service at all times
  • Work well with all ages of the general public
• Accurately and efficiently ring up customer sales
• Maintain an orderly appearance of the register area
• Maintain awareness of current promotions and advertisements
• Adhere to all company policies and guidelines
• Maintain the sales floor
  • Folding shirts, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Minimum of one-year relevant work experience preferred
• Experience in the retail field preferred

Skills

• Basic computer skills with ability to learn register
• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate with coworkers and guests
• Ability to learn tasks quickly and accurately

Working Conditions

• The work environment is generally indoors with moderate noise levels.
• May be requested to work overtime and weekends during the peak season.

Physical Requirements

About 1/3 of the time will be spent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. 1/3 to 2/3 of the time will be spent standing, walking, sitting, and reaching. Expect to lift up to 25 lbs. Some physical demands come from continuous computer work, cash register work, sales floor work, events, and mail order work.
