Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in Leawood, KS is looking for store associates who help customers with a friendly, knowledgeable touch. You will greet everyone, proactively approach shoppers, and interact to share passion for sport while guiding purchases.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales or cashier experience.
• Customer-focused approach and ability to help shoppers effectively.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 15–35 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours).

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to support their shopping experience

• Demonstrate ability to genuinely interact with customers to show passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment in their sport or activity

• Uphold company standards for merchandise presentation of the best brands in sporting goods Promote company programs (i.e., warranty sales, loyalty program, seasonal promotions, etc.)

• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (associates & customers) feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect

• Perform other tasks as necessary, to support the team and the store when business needs arise

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).

• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.

• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
