Job summary

Michaels is seeking a store team member in Middletown, NY. You will help customers, guide product selection, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience while maintaining in-stock shelves and well-merchandised displays.

The role involves unloading trucks, stocking, POS transactions, and participation in omnichannel processes like Buy Online Pickup in Store. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Able to stand for long periods and move around the store.
• Cash handling and POS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide fast, friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the merchandise return / go back process and general store recovery
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and policies
• Interact with others in a positive, respectful manner; role model company values
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
