Job summary

Five Below is seeking an in-store hourly associate in the United States. You will greet customers, assess needs, share product knowledge, and guide them to merchandise while promoting events and sales.

Qualified candidates are 16+ years old, flexible, and comfortable with technology including cash registers and handheld/mobile devices, with strong communication and problem-solving skills to support a positive shopping environment.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as computers, cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices).
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers.
• Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues/concerns courteously and professionally.
• Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly.
• Understand and meet customer needs; assess needs, share product knowledge, answer questions, direct them to merchandise and offer recommendations.
• Promote store events and promotions to enhance shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns and offer alternative solutions, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management about restocking, service requirements, and feedback.
• Support team and company goals by collaborating to achieve store objectives.
