Job summary

Kohl’s is seeking a customer-focused associate to deliver fast, friendly service at the point of sale and throughout customer interactions. You will greet customers, operate the register, handle payments, bag items and support inventory control while contributing to a positive, inclusive store environment.

Role emphasizes meeting or exceeding goals for loyalty and credit programs, training new hires, and participating in daily service routines.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
• Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• No retail experience required.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with products and services; operate a cash register, scan items, bag merchandise and handle payments.
• Execute point of sale and customer service standards with courtesy, speed and accuracy.
• Meet or exceed individual goals (e.g., credit, loyalty).
• Support inventory accuracy through POS and merchandise disposition practices.
• Assist in training new hires on service processes, POS procedures and Kohl’s brand standards.
• Participate in daily service processes (register and cash balancing, change orders, replenish supplies).
• Act with integrity and foster teamwork in an inclusive culture.
