A Brief Overview

As a certified Safelite Repair Specialist I, you will use industry-leading technology to perform vehicle glass repairs. You will embody the Safelite Spirit with a positive attitude, caring approach, and service focus, aiming to deliver exceptional happiness to customers through high-quality work.

What You Will Do

1. Learn to repair vehicle glass through classroom and hands-on training under the guidance of experienced technicians and leaders.
2. Repair chips, cracks, and other auto glass issues on customer vehicles.
3. Manage work orders, customer documentation, and communication using Safelite's Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology. Promote and sell Safelite promotional items.
4. Clean customer vehicles during repair wait times and perform housekeeping tasks in the shop and on company vehicles.
5. Operate company and customer vehicles, tools, and chemicals safely.
6. Perform additional duties as assigned.
7. Follow all policies and standards.

Education Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and any required licenses to operate a company vehicle.
• Completion of Safelite SafeTech certification.

Experience Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.

Skills and Abilities

• Lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs; assist with windshields weighing 26-50 lbs.
• Stand for long periods, work in tight spaces, bend, and twist.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Operate vehicles legally and be monitored via cameras.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Handle chemicals safely.
• Flexible schedule with varying start/end times.
• Problem-solving skills, independent and team troubleshooting.
• Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform/PPE policies.
• Work under pressure while maintaining performance.

This role involves driving monitored through cameras, GPS, and other tracking tools.
