A Brief Overview

As a certified Safelite Repair Specialist I, you will utilize our industry-leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs. You will champion the Safelite Spirit with your can-do attitude, caring heart, and service mindset while striving to bring unexpected happiness to your customers by completing jobs with only the highest quality standard in mind.

What You Will Do

• Learn to repair vehicle glass (in the classroom and hands-on) with a focus on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians and Safelite leaders.
• Repair chips, cracks, and other auto glass related issues on customer vehicles.
• Manage work orders, customer documentation, and communication through Safelite's Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology. Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
• Clean customer vehicle during wait/idle time and perform housekeeping tasks in the shop and on company vehicles.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles, tools, and chemicals used during work.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

Education Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and required licenses to operate a company vehicle.
• Completion of Safelite SafeTech certification required.

Experience Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.

Skills and Abilities

• Lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs., assisting with heavier windshields.
• Ability to stand, work in tight spaces, bend, and twist.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Operate a vehicle legally and be monitored via camera/video surveillance.
• Provide excellent customer service and exceed expectations.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Handle chemicals safely.
• Flexible schedule with varied start/end times.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to PPE policies.
• Work under pressure while maintaining performance.
