Position Overview

The Repair Specialist, hired year-round and seasonally, performs vehicle glass repairs when a full replacement isn't necessary. Our paid, formal training program covers all aspects of these specialized repairs, regardless of prior mechanical experience.

What You'll Do

• Learn to repair vehicle glass through classroom and hands-on training, focusing on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians and leaders.
• Repair chips, cracks, and other auto glass issues on customer vehicles.
• Manage work orders, customer documentation, and communication using Safelite's Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
• Clean customer vehicles during wait times and perform housekeeping tasks in the shop and on company vehicles.
• Operate a company fleet vehicle safely and professionally to and from customer locations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Completion of Safelite SafeTech certification through on-the-job training.
• Ability to operate a Safelite van, adhering to safety, cleanliness, traffic laws, and maintaining a safe driving record.
• Flexibility with hours and days worked, based on workload fluctuations.
• Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Professional appearance and use of personal protective equipment.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., assist with windshields weighing 26-50 lbs., operate tools, work at heights, and stand for extended periods.
