Job summary

The Municipality of Anchorage's Parks and Recreation Department is recruiting seasonal recreation assistants for 32 hours per week. Hours vary, including weekends, at 8400 Star View Dr. Open to the public and current Municipal employees.

Under supervision, provide leadership and supervision to recreation and volunteer participants; lead and organize daily program and facility activities. Entry level with no managerial responsibilities; may work outdoors in inclement weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Three months experience leading, directing, supervising, coaching, or teaching in recreation settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to recreation participants.
• Organize daily program and facility activities; perform related duties.
• May work outdoors in inclement weather.
