Job summary

Municipality of Anchorage is seeking entry-level Recreation Facility staff in the Parks and Recreation department. These seasonal positions involve leading program participants, maintaining facility cleanliness, and assisting with registrations at 9401 W. Raspberry Rd.

Hours vary, including weekends, with outdoor work possible in inclement weather. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 months of supervision experience in similar settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent & 3 months experience leading, directing, supervising, coaching, or teaching others at a recreation facility.
• American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification or equivalent within 30 days of hire.
• Satisfactory completion of national criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to recreation facility and program participants.
• Organize and clean the facility in accordance with the operation manual.
• Greet, register, and admit participants into the facility; entry level with limited managerial duties.
