Job summary

Deseret Cattle & Citrus is seeking motivated individuals for seasonal ranch assignments across the United States. You will participate in daily ranch operations, gaining hands-on experience in cattle production, livestock care, and ranch maintenance.

Responsibilities include branding, breeding, weaning, shipping, feeding, health monitoring, fence work, equipment operation, and following safety and animal welfare policies.

Qualifications

• Seasonal role for 3 to 4 months starting in January, May, or August.
• Ability to safely work around livestock, horses, equipment, and outdoor conditions.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable transportation to assigned ranch location.
• Post-secondary agricultural coursework or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cattle work including branding, breeding, weaning, and shipping.
• Care for livestock: feeding, watering, health monitoring, basic treatments.
• Move and gather cattle using low-stress handling practices.
• Fence construction/repair and water system maintenance.
• Operate and maintain ranch equipment.
• Follow safety policies and work independently or in a team.
• Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety.
