Job summary

Deseret Cattle & Citrus is seeking motivated individuals for seasonal ranch assignments across the United States. You will participate in daily ranch operations, gaining hands-on experience in cattle production, livestock care, and ranch maintenance.

Responsibilities include branding, breeding, weaning, shipping, feeding, health monitoring, fence work, equipment operation, and following safety and animal welfare policies.

Qualifications

Summary:

Participants will assist with daily ranch operations while gaining practical experience in cattle production and ranch management. Working alongside experienced employees, seasonal team members contribute to the success of the operation through hands-on participation in livestock care, ranch maintenance, and other assigned duties.

Responsibilities:

• Assist during cattle work, including branding, breeding, weaning, and shipping.
• Assist in daily livestock care activities, including feeding, watering, monitoring cattle health, and basic treatment procedures.
• Help move and gather cattle while following established animal welfare and low-stress livestock handling practices.
• Assist with fence construction and repair, water system maintenance, and ranch facility upkeep.
• Operate and maintain ranch equipment as assigned and trained.
• Safely perform tasks assigned by ranch leadership.
• Adhere to all company, ranch, safety, and animal welfare policies and procedures.
• Work independently and as part of a team to accomplish operational objectives.
• Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Qualifications:
