Job Title: Racquet Sports Attendant

Location: Indian Hills Country Club – Mission Hills, Kansas

Department: Racquet Sports

Reports To: Director of Racquet Sports

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Racquet Sports Attendant to join our team. The Racquet Sports Attendant will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all racquet sports facilities, including tennis courts, pickleball courts, and any other related facilities. This individual will provide excellent customer service to players, maintain equipment, oversee court reservations, and assist in organizing and facilitating racquet sports events and programs. The Racquet Sports Attendant will report directly to the Director of Racquet and Paddle Sports, working closely with them to uphold the highest standards of service and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet players, assist with inquiries, and ensure a positive experience for all patrons.
  • Court Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of racquet sports facilities, including courts, equipment, and surrounding areas.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain racquet sports equipment, such as tennis nets, pickleball courts, and racquets, ensuring they are in good condition and safe for use.
  • Court Reservations: Manage court reservation systems, including scheduling, cancellations, and ensuring accurate billing for court usage.
  • Event Support: Assist in organizing and facilitating racquet sports events, tournaments, and programs, including setup, registration, and coordination of participants.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines, including emergency procedures and proper use of equipment.
  • Instructional Support: Assist instructors and coaches with setup, cleanup, and coordination of lessons, clinics, and other instructional programs.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of racquet sports equipment, supplies, and merchandise, and assist in ordering replenishments as needed.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of racquet sports, including tennis, pickleball, and/or paddle tennis, and familiarity with related equipment and facilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with players of all ages and skill levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative environment.
  • Certification in CPR and first aid is desirable but not required.

Education:

  • High school students in good standing.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role, preferably in a sports or recreational setting.

Working Conditions:

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Salary and Benefits:

  • $12/hr – 15/hr with experience
