Job summary

Lakeside Foods in the United States is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our QA team. You will compile documentation, collect samples, perform routine tests, and ensure products meet specifications through careful measurement and data entry.

You will work closely with production, maintenance, and QA teams, uphold safety and quality standards, and participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives to help deliver wholesome foods to customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• 1-3 year prior related experience and/or training, preferred.
• Math and measurement skills; ability to solve practical problems with concrete variables.
• Computer skills for data entry purposes.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram or schedule instructions.
• Familiarity with quality standards and inspection techniques.
• Understanding of customer specifications.
• HAACP Certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain documentation, checking standards & weights.
• Collect and analyze samples for quality control.
• Identify and report recurring quality issues and suggest improvements.
• Use measuring tools like scales, calipers and product standards; utilize micrometers, CMMs, digital gauges and sampling methods.
• Conduct routine tests to ensure products meet specifications and record data accurately.
• Maintain logs and reports for compliance and traceability.
• Verify conditions meet established specifications.
• Support programs to ensure products are safe and wholesome; meet specifications.
• Report deviations or non-conformances to supervisors.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
• Work with production, maintenance, and QA teams to resolve quality issues.
• Complete any other duties assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
• Adhere to Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.
• Notify supervisor immediately if unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered.

What You’ll Do:

What You’ll Bring:

• - Math and measurement skills, ability to solve practical problems with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardizations exist
• - Computer skills for data entry purposes
• - Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
• - Familiarity with quality standards and inspection techniques
• - Understanding of customer specifications
• - HAACP Certification, preferred
