Job summary

Riverton City is seeking Seasonal Maintenance Workers in the Public Works Department (Parks, Water, and Streets) to support city properties and facilities. Flexible schedules offered: up to 20 hours/week for up to 12 months, or up to 40 hours/week for up to 5.5 months; schedules can be arranged around classes.

Duties include upkeep of parks, park strips, cemetery, recreation facilities; routine maintenance, restroom cleaning, equipment repair, irrigation, snow plowing, weed abatement, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform manual labor.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance of park facilities and grounds.
• Cleaning of park restrooms.
• Repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Seasonal irrigation system maintenance.
• Seasonal snow plowing and shoveling.
• Weed abatement on city properties.
• Water flushing assistance.
• Support department operations as required.
