Lakes Gas Co is a family‑owned propane provider serving the Midwest with a local feel at each of our 60+ locations. We are seeking a Delivery Driver for a local route, home every night, with a Class B CDL and Hazmat/Tanker endorsements.

Responsibilities include delivering propane and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while delivering top‑notch customer service. CDL candidates must have a clean driving record and pass a DOT physical, medical card, and drug/alcohol testing.

Qualifications

• Requires Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
• Must maintain a clean driving record verifiable by FMCSA
• Must pass a DOT physical and hold a DOT medical card
• Must read/write/speak English
• Must comply with federal drug/alcohol testing requirements
• Candidates should be safety-conscious and customer-service oriented
• Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets
• Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of maintenance needs
• DOT Hazmat training required every three years
• Maintains compliance with all DOT requirements

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane, propane tanks and cylinders to residential and commercial sites
• Provide first-class customer service on every delivery
• Maintain and upkeep of company and customer equipment
• Assist with plant maintenance activities
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions

This is a local route, home every night, Class B CDL position. Primary responsibilities include delivering propane, propane tanks and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing first in class customer service. CDL candidates must possess a minimum of a class B commercial driver’s license with tanker and hazardous endorsements (or the ability to obtain requisite endorsements) and must carry a DOT medical examiner’s card. CDL candidate needs to be safety conscious, have a strong mechanical aptitude and good driving skills. This position requires working in outdoor weather conditions. Additional duties include but are not limited to the maintenance and upkeep of company and customer equipment, and plant maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Valid Class "A" or "B" Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements (or the ability to obtain requisite endorsements) without air brake restrictions
• A clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card
• Must have the ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in the English Language
• Must be able to comply with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements
• Qualified candidates will be safety conscious and customer service oriented
• Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets
• Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of needed equipment, supplies or routine maintenance
• DOT Hazmat Training and Maintenance every three years
• Maintains compliance with all DOT requirements

Physical Demands

• Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to pull delivery hose
• Must be able to bend, climb, reach, and rotate as needed
• Filling, loading, securing and delivering propane cylinders or bulk
