Lyons Magnus is seeking Seasonal Production workers to work its Strawberry Season.

Overview of Position:

A member of the production department, a food service division at Lyons Magnus, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California. This position is responsible for the seasonal support in the areas of production and related activities (i.e. stacking, picking, shipping, inventory, cooking, sorting) in a manner that supports the operations of production of the organization at the Fresno, CA plant.

Description of Responsibilities:

1. Supports the mission, values and vision of the company.
2. Maintains the best interest of Lyons Magnus first and foremost.
3. Work with employees of Lyons Magnus in a positive and constructive manner to maintain a professional relationship. Demonstrates courtesy, discretion, friendliness and diplomacy.
4. Works within a team environment to share information and help others as needed.
5. Sets up production with pallets, products, for production of lines.
6. Receives customers’ orders and ensures products picked correctly to meet customer order; in a fast-paced environment.
7. Provides general labor, including sweeping and cleaning of surrounding areas.
8. Sets an example for other employees by following all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
9. Provides samples of product as requested in support of production.
10. Ensures materials are in supply for production and line staff at all times and/or delivered in a timely manner – may include pails, quarts, bottles, etc. May include use of forklift operations.
11. Main responsibility entails stacking finished products on pallets on a consistent basis by pulling products from a conveyor system, placing correct labels, and placing on pallets.
12. Ability to pull products from conveyor system such as cans, quarts and gallon lines, may entail use of forklift or other industrial equipment operation.
13. Ensures proper stacking and security of products on pallets for shipment/storage, while operating forklift or other industrial equipment.
14. Responsible for working on can line, pail line, quart line, etc. under the direction of production manager.
15. Responsible for adhering to and completing instructions of formulas provided.
16. Responsible for weighing ingredients to ensure accuracy of specifications.
17. Ensuring that formulas and ingredients are combined to ensure products meet specifications.
18. Provides testing of ingredients through cooking process.
19. Provide measuring and weighing of raw materials; and identifying raw materials for formulations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Working knowledge and application of Receiving and Pulling Order practices.
2. Strong Forklift, industrial equipment skills required.
3. Strong knowledge in Food Manufacturing – line sorting, picking, packing, stacking, labeling, shipping, receiving, etc.
4. Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes is preferred.
5. Ability to provide flexibility during seasonal strawberry employment and adapt to changing work schedule, duties, etc.
6. Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred but not mandatory.

Education and/or Experience:

1. High School Education preferred, but not required.
2. Minimum 1 year experience warehousing/manufacturing – including but not limited to packing, sorting, shipping/receiving.
