Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking a Seasonal Production Associate to join the Supply Chain Team in Marysville, Ohio. The role focuses on safety, operating a forklift, keeping work areas clean, and meeting daily production goals as directed by the Group Leader or Supervisor.

The candidate should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, communicate effectively, and read/write English. Overtime including weekends/holidays is required. Salary is $21 per hour, paid weekly.

The hourly rate pay for this position at Scotts will generally fall between $21.00 - 21.00 per hour and is paid weekly. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

We are looking for a Seasonal Production Associate who will join our Supply Chain Team team in Marysville, Ohio.

What you’ll do in this role:

• Perform a safety check of the equipment to ensure it is safe to operate.
• Performs daily assignments as directed by team Group Leader or Supervisor
• Actively maintain good housekeeping standards in their assigned area
• Safely operate a forklift to transport materials.
• Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available at all times.
• Ability to learn multiple pieces of automated equipment and flexibility to move to different work stations daily.
• Effectively communicate and relay information to peers and/or supervisors concerning the performance of the production line as it pertains to the assembly, operation and performance of the line.
• Perform various manufacturing inspection protocols to ensure plant quality standards on granular packaging products and display units.
• Adhere to plant safety rules and programs as it pertains to self and all other associates. What you’ll need to be successful:
• Position entails prolonged and repetitive motion of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing, reaching overhead and arms/hands dexterity
• Ability to drive a forklift
• Ability to climb on and off of required equipmentAbility to climb multiple flights of stairs and meet man-lift requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to read and write English and/or be able to follow instructions
• Must pass the minimum fit for duty physical (annually)
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime including weekends and holidays.
• Able to work in a dusty hot/cold/humid environment,
• Able to lift 50 pounds, and be on their feet for 8-12 hours a day.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of one plus years of production plant experience is preferred.
• Basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, ability to make decisions regarding equipment adjustments to meet product specifications and quality conformity.
