Job summary

Northgate Resorts in Oxford, MS is seeking Prep and Line Cooks for seasonal, full-time or part-time roles reporting to the Executive Chef. You will set up stations, prepare ingredients, and cook meals using sauté, grill, bake, roast, and fry techniques in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, a customer-service mindset, and the ability to multitask while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• State required certification preferred, not required.
• Knowledge of BOH systems, ordering, and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients and equipment for meal preparation.
• Cook food with various techniques (Sauté, grill, bake, roast, fry, etc.).
• Clean and breakdown meal preparation areas, including cleaning all equipment, floors, and walls.
• Proper storage and labeling of food products according to health department guidelines.
• Ensure all meals meet presentation expectations.
• Maintain a sanitized and orderly environment.
• Check the quality of ingredients.
• Monitor and rotate stock to ensure fresh ingredients at all times.
• Participate in other projects and activities as assigned.
• Assist with ordering and inventory.
