Job summary

Six Flags New England in Massachusetts is seeking a Pool Maintenance Attendant to help keep our park's aquatic areas safe, clean, and inviting. You will test water chemistry, maintain filtration and circulation systems, and assist with related maintenance tasks.

Ideal candidates are at least 18 years old, possess strong communication skills, and are willing to work outdoors in varying weather. Some mechanical knowledge and an interest in pool maintenance are a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to work in outside weather conditions to include extreme temperatures, wet and humid weather or airborne particles.
• Some mechanical knowledge and background of pool maintenance preferred.
• Willingness to learn about pool maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Test pool water hourly and adjust chemistry per MA Health Codes.
• Maintain filtration/circulation systems, backwash filters, and clean strainers.
• Assist with painting, concrete repairs, landscaping, and pressure washing.
• Maintain the general pool area and perform minor safety-related repairs.
• Inform the Senior Water Technician when supplies and chemicals are needed.
• Take appropriate steps during weather shutdowns or unplanned conditions.
• Perform daily opening, operating, and closing procedures.
• Take ownership of the job and pride in the area.
• Act professionally at all times.
• Enforce Six Flags New England policies.
• Assist in other areas of the Maintenance Department.
• Perform other incidental duties as required.
