The driver will load, secure, and deliver plant racks, follow routes, and complete paperwork while maintaining safety and professionalism with growers and store staff.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle operated.
• Safe driving record and clean DMV history.
• Experience operating a straight truck preferred.
• Delivery/retail/distribution experience is helpful.
• Ability to maneuver large plant racks with a pallet jack.
• Ability to read delivery instructions and use GPS.
• Strong communication, time management and problem solving.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with DOT requirements and medical card if required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a straight truck safely and responsibly.
• Pick up racks of plants from growers and deliver to locations.
• Load, secure, and unload plant racks avoiding damage.
• Match shipments with delivery paperwork.
• Follow routes and meet pickup/delivery times.
• Communicate delays or issues promptly.
• Complete delivery logs and inspection reports.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain clean, organized truck.
• Follow safety procedures and transportation regulations.
• Provide courteous service to growers and staff.
• Assist with other seasonal duties as needed.
