Job summary

Big Blue Bug Solutions is hiring seasonal Pest Control Service Technicians for the spring through fall season in the New England region. The role focuses on providing safe pest control, inspections, and clear explanations to customers while maintaining equipment and paperwork.

Starting pay is an hourly wage with bonus and commission. Benefits include paid holidays, paid vacation, a company vehicle and gas, and opportunities to transition to full-time with medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k)

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience
• Valid driver’s license; driving record that meets or exceeds company minimum requirements
• Applicant must live within the local service area
• Ability to use computer-based technology such as smartphone, tablet, e-mail, and customer database
• Availability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements
• Experience in the service industry a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, friendly, and high-quality service to clients
• Conduct inspections for pests, pest harborages, and pest entryways
• Determine, recommend, and provide required pest management services per government and company guidelines
• Inform customers on how to reduce pest pressures through proper sanitation, storage, and landscaping
• Prepare written reports for customers and explain services in a clear and friendly manner
• Operate and maintain service vehicle, and other service equipment, per government and company guidelines
• Utilize, secure, and store products and materials in strict accordance with labels and government and company guidelines
• Ensure required equipment, products, and materials are on the service vehicle to perform scheduled services
• Document service activities as required and submit paperwork as directed
• Maintain licenses, certifications, and/or registrations as required and participate in company training as directed
• Propose additional company services to customers as appropriate
