Job summary

Kindred Hospital Indianapolis North is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. You will coordinate with the care team and participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth continuum of care.

The Seasonal Staffing program offers a 12-week commitment at a Seasonal Agreement rate of pay, with per diem status and potential extension. Upon completion, opportunities may exist to transition to full-time, part-time, or per diem

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse
• BCLS certification. ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains the standard of nursing care and implements hospital and nursing department policies
• Directs, supervises and evaluates nursing care provided to patients
• Documents patient admission assessment and care plans in the medical record according to nursing standards
• Performs assessment on all patients on admission and reassessments as per policy
• Assists physicians with examinations, treatments and procedures within scope of practice
• Administers medication utilizing the five rights of medication administration
• Develops and revises nursing care plans in coordination with patient and family
• Communicates changes in patient condition to physicians and care team
• Participates in discharge planning process
• Provides end of shift reports and ensures accurate documentation
