We are seeking a seasonal part-time community Groundskeeper for our Saddle Creek Community. The role involves maintaining and caring for outdoor areas, ensuring grounds are clean, safe, and visually appealing for residents and visitors.

Job Duties

1. Maintain grass, trim weeds, landscape green areas.
2. Drive the property regularly to identify and correct issues meeting UMH standards.
3. Address pest and weed problems promptly, applying appropriate treatments.
4. Collect and dispose of trash, litter, and recyclables.
5. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and materials used.
6. Report tasks, projects, and issues to supervisors.
7. Monitor and maintain irrigation systems; water plants, lawns, and trees as needed.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

1. Strong customer service skills aligning with UMH standards.
2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
3. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
4. Willingness to attend periodic training on procedures, safety, and compliance.

Physical Requirements

1. Frequently lift objects over 20 pounds.
2. Stand and walk for most of the workday.
3. Kneel and crawl as needed.
4. Operate machinery like mowers, power tools, and hand tools.

Work Environment

• Outdoor setting exposed to weather, insects, pollen, and greenery.

Travel

• Occasional travel for work-related errands outside the community.

Work Schedule

• Part-time, typically Monday through Friday, approximately 29 hours per week.
• Schedule varies seasonally and by community needs.
• In-person attendance required.

Job Classification

• Non-exempt under FLSA; eligible for overtime pay for hours over 40 per week.
