The City of Apple Valley is seeking a Seasonal - Parks Maintenance Worker to support parks and facilities maintenance in Apple Valley, MN. This role involves manual labor and operating routine equipment for grounds and facility upkeep, including mowing, cleaning, snow removal, and trash collection.

Weekend work (Saturdays and Sundays) is required and the position is seasonal. Pay ranges from $18.75 to $21.20 hourly, with rate of pay dependent on qualifications.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Experience in home and yard maintenance activities.
• Ability to work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Able to bend, stoop, twist, lift, grip.

Responsibilities

• Mowing and trimming of parks.
• Snow removal and plowing.
• Athletic field maintenance and preparation.
• Painting of park structures and fixtures.
• Restroom and picnic area maintenance.
• Trash and litter collection.
• Tree and shrub maintenance and fertilization.
• Assist in irrigation and equipment repairs as needed.
• Weekend work required.
• Assist in pool preparation and maintenance.
