Job summary

The City of Pueblo is seeking a non-exempt, seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker to support landscape care across parks, medians, and rights-of-way. The position involves physical outdoor labor, operating light vehicles and a variety of power tools, and assisting with planting and irrigation tasks.

Your duties include maintaining beds, trimming, mulching, and performing routine equipment maintenance while complying with safety policies and timekeeping requirements. 1300-hour annual limit.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Able to perform physical outdoor work in various weather.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance in parks, medians, streetscapes, and rights-of-way.
• Operate light-duty vehicles and a range of equipment.
• Assist with planting and pruning.
• Support irrigation monitoring and minor repairs.
• Maintain tools and equipment and perform light repairs.
• Report to supervisor and maintain time sheets.
