Job summary

City of Southfield seeks a Grounds Maintenance Worker to handle outdoor upkeep at City sites. You will operate lawn care equipment and assist with athletic field setup and general grounds cleaning.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Michigan driver's license, and a good driving record. Steel-toed shoes are required on site; prior grounds maintenance experience is helpful for this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Outside ground maintenance of City sites.
• Operate vehicles and other powered equipment.
• Change trash liners, litter pick up, and general upkeep of parks grounds.
• Athletic field maintenance and setup.
• Lawn maintenance using power mowers, trimmers, and edger.
• Weeding, watering and planting flowers.
• Other duties as assigned.
