Job summary

North Logan City is seeking a motivated parks attendant to perform semi-skilled labor in the parks department under general supervision. You will take initiative to aid the city beyond standard responsibilities.

Responsibilities include masonry, horticulture, carpentry, grounds keeping and irrigation duties; operate mowers and trimming equipment; maintain equipment; and support general grounds work in parks and recreation areas. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required, on the job training provided.
• 16 years of age or older and capable of physical work in all weather conditions.
• May be required to possess a valid Utah driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performs general masonry, horticulture, carpentry, grounds keeping and irrigation duties.
• Operates a variety of semiskilled and skilled duties in maintaining parks and recreation areas and environs.
• Operates gang mowers, tractor drawn mowers and trimming equipment; mows, trims and edges lawns throughout the parks; repairs turf; cleans up weeds.
• Maintains, lubricates, and makes minor adjustments to equipment.
• Performs general grounds keeping duties.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
