The Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission seeks seasonal Park Naturalist staff for Mount Rainier Nature Center. Roles include guiding natural history programs, garden design, animal care, and community outreach.

Hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $20.00, with 20–30 hours weekly. Minimum qualifications require a college degree or equivalent experience; preferred candidates include bilingual ability, gardening experience, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Mansioni

• Maintain landscaped areas of Nature Center grounds.
• Assist in design of new pollinator garden areas.
• Help maintain relationships with partner organizations.
• Provide care for animals and prepare them to perform during programs and outreach events.
• Provide customer service and safeguard the facilities during rental hours.
• Provide interpretive and educational programs in natural history to various groups.
• Respond to visitor, telephone, and staff inquiries.
• Greets visitors and promotes positive public relations for the programs.
• Assist in design and promotion of advertising materials.
