Job summary

State of Oklahoma Beavers Bend State Park is seeking a Seasonal Interpretive Guide to support educational programming and guest interpretation. This entry-level, part-time role involves guiding hikes, delivering programs, and helping with crafts and visitor services.

You must be at least 16, able to work outdoors in varying weather, lift up to 50 lbs, and be flexible about hours including holidays and weekends. Driver's license may be required at some locations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to lead walking tours, navigate trails, and perform frequent bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead guided hikes or other outdoor activities.
• Deliver educational programming.
• Plan and lead arts and crafts activities.
• Perform trail and animal enclosure upkeep, including repairs and cleaning.
• Assist with routine groundskeeping and Nature Center organization.
• Greet and assist visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
• Engage with guests through informed interpretation.
• Assist in event setup and takedown.
• Complete daily opening and closing duties for the Nature Center.
• Perform other duties to support daily operations and agency needs.
