Job summary

The City of Pocatello’s Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a seasonal employee to maintain and repair grounds and facilities around city parks and public rights-of-way. The role involves construction/landscape tasks, tool use, and safe operation of equipment; a valid driving record is required.

Work is 7:00am–3:30pm with days, evenings, and weekends as needed. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and may need a high school diploma or GED; Idaho driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience may be required.
• Specialized certifications, construction and/or supervisory experience may be required.
• Idaho driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance and horticulture work for Greenway Trails areas: mowing, weeding, spraying, tree trimming, cleanup and debris disposal.
• Maintains mowing equipment: oil levels, blades.
• Operates hand and power tools and maintains equipment.
• Drives a City vehicle to Greenway Trails locations as assigned.
• Duties may be revised by management as needed.
