Job summary

City of Pocatello's Parks & Recreation Department seeks seasonal labor to perform maintenance, gardening, and light construction around parks and facilities. Work includes mowing, trimming, cleaning, and operating hand and power tools; driving City vehicles on Greenway Trails; shifts may include days, evenings, and weekends.

Applicants must be at least 16, with a high school diploma or GED preferred; Idaho driver's license required; prior related experience may be needed; employment contingent

Qualifications

• Age 16 or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two to five years of experience may be required.
• Idaho Driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of general maintenance and horticulture work for Greenway Trails areas including: mowing, weeding and spraying, tree trimming, general clean-up and disposal of landscape debris and trash.
• Performs minor maintenance of mowing equipment, including maintaining proper oil levels and keeping blades sharpened.
• Operates hand and power tools. Maintains, services and repairs equipment and tools.
• Operates a City vehicle to various Greenway Trails throughout the City as assigned.
