Job summary

City of Madisonville is seeking a City Park Seasonal Maintenance Crew Worker to perform unskilled to semi-skilled labor in the maintenance of the City Park and golf course.

Responsibilities include mowing, edging, edging, litter removal, equipment maintenance, snow shoveling, pressure washing, painting, and assisting with events. A high school diploma or GED is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience in basic park maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs general laboring tasks in City Park/Golf Course.
• Participates in cleaning equipment and performing minor repairs.
• Operates a variety of trucks and equipment to perform tasks.
• Inspects equipment and work areas for safety hazards.
• Mows grass, weed-e, edge, lay sod, mulch lawns, trim trees, and plant.
• Picks up litter and maintains trash receptacles.
• Shovels snow.
• Pressure washes park facilities and equipment; paints as needed.
• Assists with special events as needed.
