Job summary

City of Wichita is seeking part-time seasonal workers for general maintenance in parks, forestry and golf course areas. Work includes turf care, trash pickup, loading materials, and assisting skilled staff. Duties vary and are performed outdoors under supervisor guidance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, trimming and other duties related to turf care.
• Trash pick around athletic fields, parks and ROW.
• Loads and unloads stone, gravel, dirt, timber, leaves, and similar items.
• Assists skilled and semiskilled workers in park, golf course, and repair tasks.
• Shovels snow and breaks ice from streets and walks; loads snow on trucks or piles it.
