Job summary

WorldStrides, Inc. is seeking Seasonal Overnight Student Chaperones for the Washington DC metro area for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.

Responsibilities include supervising students on hotel floors during night hours, monitoring safety, and reporting concerns to on-site staff. Candidates must be available October–November and February–June, be willing to commute to on-site DC locations, and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Availability in October and November, and in the spring from February-June, during peak season.
• Must be willing to commute to on-site locations in D.C. Metro Area.
• Team player who works well with students, teachers, vendors and WorldStrides staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent technical skills with knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word and Excel), email, and working from a smartphone.
• Must have the use of sensory skills as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, and hear.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including walking up and down numerous flights of stairs with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Successful completion of applicable background screening.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers, vendors, and fellow employees with honesty, respect, and professionalism.
• Provide the highest level of safety for all participants while they are on tour.
• Actively monitor assigned hotel floors from 9:45pm to 5am. (required)
• Present a professional image – remain courteous, positive, and helpful.
• Follow proper procedure while working on assigned floors to include checking in/out of the hotel with designated personnel, introduction to Program Leaders, and groups and escalation protocol.
• Always maintain a professional relationship with students. (required)
