Canyon County is seeking a Seasonal Pest Control Technician to perform weed and gopher control, chemical applications, and equipment maintenance in outdoor settings. The role involves weather exposure and adherence to safety regulations. Supervisory duties for seasonal staff are possible.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of agriculture preferred, and 2 years of related pesticide application experience. Valid Idaho driver’s license may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Survey the county for noxious weeds and gophers, map problem areas, and inform landowners about control regulations.
• Conduct weed treatments, collect specimens, and maintain records.
• Calibrate, maintain, and repair spraying equipment.
• Apply herbicides and pesticides and record spraying services.
• Train and supervise seasonal technicians.
• Follow county safety policies and procedures.
