Purpose
The Laundry and Spa Attendant is an enthusiastic site steward responsible for the daily laundry duties and upkeep of the Ofuro Spa to support the Campfield Facilities team. Reporting to the Campfield Facilities Manager, this Attendant processes laundry and maintains cleanliness of the Ofuro Spa as assigned. The Laundry and Spa Attendant will work independently as well as collaborate with the Facilities Team, Campfield management, and corresponding staff. As a member of the Campfield team, the Attendant is a Snow Peak Brand ambassador and will reflect Snow Peak’s values in every interaction with guests and other staff.
Classification
• Reports To: Campfield Facilities Manager
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, weekend and holiday availability required
Housekeeping/Janitorial Operations
• Perform laundry duties as needed
• Strip Jyubako cabins of all dirty linens and terries
• Support the Facilities Team in daily housekeeping and janitorial operations of Campfield
• Conduct regular cleaning as assigned
• Maintain trash and recycling programs across building and property grounds
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the Ofuro Spa to ensure positive guest experiences
• Clean and restock all three bathrooms as needed
• Monitor and clean the floors and all drains
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the patio/yard area
• Maintain cleanliness of the sauna
• Remove and replace dirty terries from the sauna
• Understand and anticipate guest expectations to respond to needs/potential problems
• Ensure facilities maintenance work conforms to specifications and safety standards
• Maintain operational policies and procedures
• Support strategic objectives that fulfill the mission and the goals of the department
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
Education/Certifications
• Pool and spa service certification preferred
Experience
• 1+ years working in housekeeping and/or facilities maintenance, preferably campground/resort
Skills
• Proficient understanding of facilities practices
• Proficient understanding of housekeeping and janitorial practices
• General knowledge of pool/spa facilities operations or willingness to learn
• Excellent verbal communication skills
Abilities
• Ability to learn quickly; creatively solve new problems
• Superior time management skills with a proven ability to efficiently manage time-sensitive priorities
Physical Effort
• Work is performed in, on and around buildings, facilities and grounds, inside and outside in all weather conditions; occasionally works in office operating computers and other office equipment
• Needs adequate vision and hearing, manual dexterity, communication and motor skills to perform the duties of the position, including emergency response situations
• Walks up and down inclines and stairs, over rough, uneven, and slippery terrain or paved surfaces
• Works on ladders, scaffolds, and rooftops
• Reaches above shoulder level and occasionally works on hands and knees
• Bends, stoops, crouches, kneels, crawls, climbs, twists, pushes and pulls in regular performance of duties
• Drives a variety of motorized vehicles
• May sit or stand for long periods of time
• May lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds or more with assistance
• May work in congested work areas, confined spaces and remote locations
• May be exposed to environmental and chemical hazards, allergens, and odors standard to area of assignment, such as high noise, chemicals, and fumes requiring safety controls
• Cleans up and disposes of human-generated waste, animal waste and carcasses
• Frequently interacts with the public
• Uses appropriate safety and personal protective equipment and follows established safety policies, practices and procedures
