Job summary

The J.R. Simplot Company is seeking a seasonal Laborer/Operations Support to help with daily plant operations. This full-time, temporary role offers substantial overtime hours and full benefits.

Primary duties include equipment maintenance, loading and delivering fertilizer, and warehouse tasks. Ideal candidates have 1+ year related experience, a valid driver’s license, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Willingness to work Ag-Industry hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; combination of education, training and/or experience considered.
• 1+ years related experience in agricultural or industrial operations preferred.
• Truck driving experience preferred.
• Proficiency with smart devices and ELDs (Electronic Log Device) highly preferred.
• Knowledge of local rural geography is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic farm equipment and operation preferred.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in sequence (blending products, loading a truck, driving to a farm).

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily plant operations.
• Maintain equipment and perform basic maintenance (welding, pumps, engines, painting, housekeeping).
• Load and deliver fertilizer and chemicals to customers; operate equipment to blend products; clean and store equipment after use.
• Receive and unload products; perform warehouse inventory and storage tasks.
• Prioritize safety in all duties and represent the company professionally.
• Assist with special projects and attend trainings as needed.

Summary

Simplot Grower Solutions is looking to fill a seasonal Laborer/Operations Support position. Full-time, temporary, position with full benefits and the opportunity for substantial over-time hours. The primary responsibility is to assist with daily plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment and plant maintenance; including welding, pump and engine overhauls, painting, and general housekeeping responsibilities
• Loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers, operating equipment to blend fertilizer and chemicals, cleaning and storing equipment after application process
• Receiving and unloading product and performing warehouse inventory and storage functions
• Maintain a conscientiousness for safety at all times while performing all duties
• Represent selves and the Company professionally at all times
• Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, etc.

Typical Education
