Job summary

RiseMe in Virginia is seeking a seasonal mover/helper to load and unload vehicles containing household goods, office furniture, or other items safely and efficiently.

The role supports the crew by inspecting vehicles, preparing loads, recording inventories, and following directions from the crew leader during October through December.

Qualifications

• Properly and safely lifts, packs, loads and unloads the vehicle as required.
• Writes complete and accurate inventory of household contents, office furniture or other goods when required.
• Assists in any capacity as directed by the crew leader on the assigned job.
• Assists when necessary, in any operation of the warehouse.

SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in the inspection of the truck assigned for noted damages, flat or worn tires and travel worthiness.

Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend instructions communicated in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one - or two - step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
