Job summary

Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation is seeking seasonal security staff in Steamboat Springs, CO. The role includes evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, enforcing event perimeters, controlling access, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Applicants should be able to handle confrontational attendees, maintain composure under pressure, and work as part of a team. A high school diploma or GED is required, with background checks and a valid driver's license expected.

Qualifications

• 2 years of previous work history/education required.
• Previous security experience helpful but not required.
• Previous guest service experience helpful but not required.
• Must be able to communicate and handle confrontational and intoxicated event attendees.
• Must have a high tolerance to remain level under pressure and in stressful situations.
• Must think and work as a team player.
• Background check required.
• Must have valid driver’s license without restrictions and meet insurability standards.

Responsibilities

• Enforce alcohol perimeter (into/out of events) while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
• Control access to events.
• ID and ensure that event attendees are 21 years and older.
• Ensure adherence to Company Policies.
• General Property Security (Help secure property before, during and after events).
• Pat down searches and bag checks for alcohol compliance.
• Work in company vehicles (trucks and snowmobile) 50% of the time in varying terrains.
• Conduct hourly security checks of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation properties.
• Respond to fire and/or burglar alarms as necessary.
• Deal with guests and individuals under varying circumstances.
• May transport guests in shuttle van.
• Adhere to all company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Set up, tear down, and cleanup of events.
• Other duties as assigned.
