Job summary

Macy's, Inc. is seeking a Merchandising Associate (Vendor Paid Merchandiser) to drive sales and execute strategic merchandising initiatives in the store.

You will suggest vendor products, maintain high standards, and provide feedback on performance and opportunities to improve slow-selling areas. We value flexible team players who thrive in a fast-paced environment, can switch between tasks, and work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Understanding of customer needs and ability to convey product knowledge to leadership and vendors.
• Strong communication skills both in person and virtually.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with customers.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales by sharing product knowledge, trends and style inspiration.
• Merchandise new deliveries from vendor(s) and follow brand-specific merchandise execution guides and standards.
• Communicate customer needs and shopping patterns to store leadership and vendors.
• Work with store teams to drive best practices for sales and execution.
• Ensure sales floor is properly signed for sales and markdowns.
• Follow store audit policies and procedures.
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities.
