Job summary

Benedictine University is hiring an Assistant Coach (Seasonal) for Men's Volleyball at the Lisle campus. The role supports the Head Coach with day-to-day program operations, practice planning, and athlete development.

The position emphasizes adherence to NCAA rules, student-athlete welfare, and travel coordination. A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, with 3+ years on high-level club or collegiate teams. This is a seasonal, non-benefit eligible role.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate/GED Required, Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• Experience: 3+ Years working with High Level Club or Collegiate Teams
• Specific Skills: Knowledge of High Level Volleyball Systems
• Specific Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications: CPR Certification preferred, valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce all NCAA bylaws, league regulations, and university academic and other policies and procedures.
• Assist with athlete recruitment.
• Assist with the running of practices and practice content.
• Assist with scouting and game preparation.
• Assist with the oversight and monitoring of academic progress of student-athletes.
• Assist with scheduling contests, travel arrangements and ordering equipment and supplies.
• Provide periodic administrative assistance.
• Create and foster an environment that promotes the overall health and welfare of student-athletes.
• Other duties as assigned.
