Job summary

MainStreet Family Care in Bainbridge, GA is seeking a Seasonal Medical Assistant to support urgent and primary care during the cold and flu season (October through February). This temporary role offers hands-on clinical and clerical exposure in a fast-paced setting.

You will prepare rooms, take histories and vitals, assist with procedures, dispense medications as directed, manage patient education, and help with scheduling and records. The schedule rotates, including every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and instruments for patient visits.
• Take patient histories and vital signs, and assist with examinations.
• Dispense medication as directed and provide discharge instructions.
• Maintain patient records and assist with scheduling tests and treatments.
• Handle calls and address patient concerns within scope.
