Job summary

Freedom Boat Club is hiring a Dockmaster (Entry Level) for Edmonds/Everett. The role involves dock operations, assisting members, and basic boat maintenance training. The position offers flexible seasonal-to-year-round opportunities and a focus on hospitality and safety.

Ideal candidates are 18+, enjoy boating, and have strong communication skills. Training provided; benefits include teamwork and a friendly work environment on the water.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Boating experience or love for boating is a plus (we train boat driving/operating).
• Ability to perform minor boat maintenance with training.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
• Physical ability to board/de-board boats repeatedly.
• Physical ability to clean boats with brush and hose.
• Vision adequate to read hand-held tablets.
• Have a personal mobile device for company apps (Slack, ADP).
• Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during high activity.
• Strong communication and friendly customer service required.
• Self-starter with ability to work without supervision.
• Attention to detail and ability to keep area clean.
• Manage marina traffic and assist members with docking boats.
• Operate with emphasis on member hospitality.
• Adhere to safety policies.
• Maintain teamwork with supervisors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Help run our docks and serve members with excellence.
• Develop boating skills while maintaining, fueling, and cleaning fleet boats.
• Control marina traffic and assist members with docking boats.
• Provide red carpet service to members from arrival to departure.
