Position Summary:
Clinton City is seeking reliable and motivated individuals to fill seasonal positions in the Streets Division. This role involves working outdoors with a team to maintain and improve city infrastructure such as roads, sidewalks, signage, and right-of-way areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform general construction and maintenance tasks such as sweeping, shoveling, debris removal, and basic repairs.
Use small hand tools and assist in routine maintenance of tools and equipment.
Clean and maintain city streets, sidewalks, signs, and other public areas.
Assist in tasks such as pothole patching, minor street repairs, and traffic control setup.
Follow all safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Work effectively with a crew and follow directions from supervisors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years old.
Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
Ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively with others.
Must be dependable and punctual.
Previous experience in construction, street maintenance, or outdoor work is helpful but not required.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed outdoors and may involve exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and other environmental conditions.
Physical demands include lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
