Job summary

Gulfshoresal in Texas is seeking a temporary maintenance associate to help support golf course facilities and grounds. This non-supervisory role focuses on safely operating equipment and completing maintenance tasks to keep the course functional.

The position is a 3-6 month assignment with no guaranteed hours or benefits. A high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to drive a Class C Texas vehicle are preferred requirements.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the safe and proper operation of equipment including safety standards to prevent hazards.
• Thorough knowledge of the safe and proper operation of motor vehicles including provisions of the Texas Motor Vehicle Code.
• Sufficient skills to service and make minor repairs on equipment.
• Sufficient knowledge of technical skills related to the work of maintenance.

• Maintain and operate golf course facilities equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment for players and staff.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks outdoors, including operating machinery and basic repairs as needed.

Compensation - $17.91/hr

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

To participate in maintaining a healthy, safe environment of golf course facilities for the enjoyment of the citizens of Cleburne. This is a non-supervisory position. General job function is to efficiently and effectively perform maintenance operations; including operating machinery and performing maintenance tasks.

This is a temporary position ranging from 3-6 months with no minimum number of hours guaranteed; no leave or retirement benefits will be offered.

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Thorough knowledge of the safe and proper operation of equipment including safety standards to prevent hazards
• Thorough knowledge of the safe and proper operation of motor vehicles including provisions of the Texas Motor Vehicle Code
• Sufficient skills to service and make minor repairs on equipment
• Sufficient knowledge of technical skills related to the work of maintenance

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school graduate or equivalent preferred; OR

Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED

A Valid Class C Texas motor vehicle driver license and the ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AND SAFETY HAZARDS

Primarily in an outdoor environment with the ability to operate indoors when needed. May be exposed to extreme heat and cold during summer and winter months.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED

Various mowing equipment, tree trimming tools, chainsaw, weed eater, golf cart, shovel, pruning shears, wheelbarrow, tamper, post driver, irrigation tools and equipment, air tools, agricultural-type tractor, a gator-type four-wheel vehicle with spray rig/applicator, and various other tools needed to complete daily tasks.
