City of Big Spring is seeking a grounds maintenance worker to keep golf course grounds clean and safe. You will perform custodial duties in the pro shop and restrooms, assist with ball pickup on the driving range, and manage golf carts and related facilities.
The role requires basic math, reading/writing, and a valid Texas driver’s license, with shift hours varying by season. Experience in a similar role is preferred.
This position is responsible for maintaining the golf course grounds.
Shift: Hours vary in the summer and winter time
Monday, Tuesday & Friday, 6:30 P.M. – 9:30 P.M.;
Saturday; 6:30 A.M-8:30 A.M. & 6:30 P.M.-9:30 P.M.
Sunday; 6:30 A.M.- 9:30 A.M. & 6:30 P.M.-9:30 P.M.

Factors such as regular attendance at the job not routinely listed in job descriptions but are an essential function. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent.
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the State of Texas for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
