How You'll Contribute to the Team

The Seasonal Maintenance Tech I is part of a team responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of physical assets in the property management portfolio. Under operational supervision, the Maintenance Tech I performs basic maintenance tasks including janitorial, cleaning, groundskeeping, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, construction, appliances, and masonry work, to maintain properties and common areas according to company standards for functionality, cleanliness, and safety. The role emphasizes producing quality work efficiently while providing residents with an exceptional customer experience and a quality living environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Perform laborer duties such as janitorial, cleaning, groundskeeping, painting, and basic building maintenance and repair, using powered equipment as needed.
  2. Provide high-quality customer service to residents by responding to maintenance requests promptly and professionally, maintaining a clean workspace.
  3. Complete make-ready/turnover work and troubleshooting efficiently according to timelines.
  4. Complete work safely and in accordance with safety standards, reporting hazards as necessary.
  5. Follow safety guidelines for tools and equipment, demonstrating operational knowledge.
  6. Accurately complete documentation such as work orders and timesheets.
  7. Ensure preventative maintenance and repairs are completed meticulously, identifying potential hazards.
  8. Maintain community appearance through cleanup and trash pickup.
  9. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. At least 1 year experience in multi-family or housing maintenance, construction, or trades.
  3. Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks across various trades.
  4. Ability to operate basic maintenance and landscaping tools.
  5. Understanding of OSHA standards and mold awareness.
  6. Successful completion of online Corvias Classroom courses.
  7. Customer-focused with professional communication skills.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively and take direction.
  9. Proficient in English reading, interpretation, and communication.
  10. Availability for after-hours emergency repairs and on-call rotations.
  11. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends.
  12. Valid driver's license and use of personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
